The football players of Sarajevo, despite having played an excellent match throughout the entire ninety minutes, suffered a defeat against the German representatives, Borussia Mönchengladbach, with a 3:2 result. Bojan Puzigaća and Haris Duljević scored for the Maroon club in front of 30,000 spectators at the Olympic stadium "Asim Ferhatović-Hase". The Maroon lads showed quality this evening, playing at the same level as the favoured team, which ended up at the sixth place of the Bundesliga last season, throughout the entire match. In the first minutes, Borussia made a threat, but, luckily, Bandović did not have to react. Then, Stojčev had an excellent chance in the fourth minute, but he was imprecise. After that, Bilbija made a headshot in the fifth minute, after Puzigaća´s throw-in from the out – the ball misses the goal. The guests take the lead in the 10th minute of the match. Andre Hahn shoots the ball sideways from the right side and manages to hit the goal of the Maroon club. Nonetheless, the received goal and the fantastic support from the stands, spurred our players on. In the 12th minute, Okić shoots, but Sommer manages to defend his net. Shortly after that, Cimirot tackles, but the goalkeeper of the Swiss national team is at the place again. In the 26th minute, there was great excitement at the stadium. After Velkoski´s throw-in, Puzigaća jumps the highest and scores the equalizing goal. Before the end of the first half, the guests, however, manage to take the lead again. Hrgota responds the best to one of Hahn´s throw-in s and scores a goal. In the continuation of the match, Sarajevo played even better. The substitute Duljević brings Sarajevo back into the game in the 58th minute. After Velkoski passed the ball, Duljević shoots precisely and equalized the result again. Ten minutes later, the spectators witnessed another goal. Hrgota manages to score a second time, after a shot in the 73rd minute. Before the end of the match, Borussia had a good chance through Herman, but Berberović throws the ball off the goal line. In the last minutes, Hrgota had another goal-scoring opportunity, but hit the goalpost.
